Post-Career Course
There is no shortage of people talking about life after ball. The problem is most of it stays at the surface, giving you inspiration without actually giving you anything to work with. You listen to the podcast, you feel motivated for a few days, then you are right back where you started trying to figure out a question nobody is really answering for you.
Dr. Caleb Mezzy is a Sports Management professor who got tired of watching that happen. He spent years researching athlete career transitions at the university level, co-authoring studies on what actually moves players forward and building university curriculum around what he found. He did not build this course on opinions or personal anecdotes. He built it on years of documented research about what works.
We partnered with him to bring it directly to this community.
The Post Career Course runs through four phases. Personal Discovery is about figuring out who you are when basketball is no longer telling you. Professional Identity is about taking the discipline, the toughness, and the ability to perform under pressure that you built as a player and turning all of that into something the professional world actually recognizes and values. Planning Strategies is where you stop floating around with a vague idea of what you want to do and start building something real and concrete. Support means you are not doing any of this by yourself because you have a network and a community behind you the whole way through.
