Wanted to bring something into the community that’s been on my mind.

Mark Cuban has been talking about NBA Europe, and his take is getting a lot of attention. The short version is he thinks dropping hundreds of millions, maybe a billion, on an expansion franchise in a league that doesn’t exist yet is an enormous amount of risk. His alternative is to buy a smaller European club, build it the right way, create value, earn promotion, and turn it into an investment that keeps appreciating instead of betting on a brand new league getting off the ground.

Here’s why I’m bringing it to you. I’ve been saying this for years. None of this is new to me. The difference is most of you reading this have actually lived inside European basketball. You’ve played for these clubs, seen how they’re run, felt the fan bases, watched promotion and relegation play out from the inside. You understand something that the people writing checks usually don’t.

European basketball already has passionate fan bases, deep-rooted clubs, and a system built to reward clubs that grow the right way. You don’t reinvent the wheel when the wheel is already turning. You buy in and make it better.

So I want to hear from the people who’ve been on the ground. If you had the money, would you invest in a club that already exists or buy into a brand new NBA Europe franchise? And for those of you who played for clubs you think are undervalued, which ones come to mind?

With OverseasX, you’ll never have to walk this journey alone.
